A three-hour bike tour: the protagonist is the flavour! Everything will circle around it: stories, smells, noises. The historical markets of Palermo will be the background of our tour; we let Sicilian recipes and anecdotes tell about traditions and local uses. A super tasty experience in the hearth of Palermo!

What you'll do

We pedal zigzagging for the historical centre in search of the flavours of the Sicilian tradition, our nose will guide us. The recipes that are handed down from generation to generation are alive and still animate the historical markets, the streets and the local celebrations. Our guides will tell us about Palermo’s colours, smells and noises while we experience them through our senses and our palate. We will learn about a typical dessert linked to the Feast of the Dead, the historical recipes kept inside the cloistered convents where everything began, and about the Arabs who created a ball of rice, now renowned as arancina! All this while tasting the flavours of one of the most famous street food tradition in the world, looking for the most hidden and traditional places. An alley in a hidden corner will allow us to suddenly change scenery and move away from a too touristy view of Palermo. We will be thrilled with the salty taste of the panelle and pampered by the sweet ricotta cheese in the cannoli, we will go in search of craft workshops to see how local artists create and knead the wonders that enrich your holidays in Sicily and the life of the Sicilians.
